Every transaction displayed in Spend Center includes a status that can be viewed in a web browser or the mobile app. These status tags provide valuable insights about a transaction and may indicate items that need to be completed by a spender or administrator.
This article describes how to find the status of a transaction and includes a brief description for each transaction status.
Find transaction status from a web browser
In the Navigation Menu, select Transactions
Status tags display in the Status column for each transaction
Status tags in a highlighted color indicate that action is required by the user viewing the transaction
Find transaction status from the mobile app
In the Navigation Bar, tap Transactions
If the Transactions icon is not in your Navigation Bar, tap More, then tap the Transactions link

Status definitions
Approved
Transaction has been approved by all members of the approval flow.
Complete
All required information, such as custom fields and receipts, has been completed and the transaction has been approved, if necessary.
Denied
Transaction has been denied by a member of the approval flow. They may have determined that it was not a valid business expense, or it was categorized incorrectly.
Spenders can make the proper adjustments to the transaction and resubmit for approval.
Incomplete
Transaction is missing required information, such as required fields, transaction category, or receipt attachment.
Spenders can complete the required fields from the Transaction Details page. Once the required fields have been updated and the transaction has been approved by members of the approval flow, the transaction will be marked as complete.
Needs your approval
Transaction includes all required information, but needs your approval. If the Allow people to approve their own transactions option is enabled, you can approve your own transactions if you are part of the approval flow.
Pending
Transaction charges have not been processed by the merchant. Once the charge is fully processed the status updates.
Pending approval
Transaction includes all required information and has been approved by you, but needs approval from another user.
Upcoming approval
Transaction includes all required information, but needs approval from another user or users before it will require approval from you.
