Add assistants to a user in Spend Center

Admins in Spend Center can add assistants to other users. Assistants can view and complete transactions on behalf of the user. When completing transactions, assistants can do anything required to make the transaction complete, including submitting receipts.

Assistants can filter the Transactions page to view only transactions made by users for whom they are assigned as an assistant.

Note: Users can have up to 10 assistants.


Add assistant from a web browser

  1. In the Spend Center Navigation Menu, select People

  2. Select the user you want to add assistants to

    • Note: Do not select the user you want to add as an assistant

  3. Select Options

  4. Select Edit person

  5. In the Company settings section, select +Add assistants

  6. Select any users you want to assign as assistants to the user you are editing

    • Note: All selected assistants are able to view and complete transactions for the user they are added to

  7. Select Save

  8. Added assistants display in the Assistants section

  9. Select Update person


Remove assistant from a web browser

  1. In the Spend Center Navigation Menu, select People

  2. Select the user with assistants you want to remove

    • Note: Do not select the assistant you want to remove

  3. Select Options

  4. Select Edit person

  5. In the Assistants section, select the Remove (X) icon for any assistants you want to remove

  6. Select Update person


Add assistant from the mobile app

  1. In the Spend Center Navigation bar, tap People

    • Note: If the People icon is not in your Navigation Bar, tap More, then tap People

  2. Select the user you want to add assistants to

    • Note: Do not select the user you want to add as an assistant

  3. Tap the Options (three dots) icon

  4. Tap Edit person

  5. In the Company information section, tap Assistants

  6. Select any users you want to assign as assistants to the user you are editing

    • Note: All selected assistants are able to view and complete transactions for the user they are added as an assistant

  7. Tap Save


Remove assistant from the mobile app

  1. In the Spend Center Navigation bar, tap People

    • Note: If the People icon is not in your Navigation Bar, tap More, then tap People

  2. Select the user with assistants you want to remove

    • Note: Do not select the assistant you want to remove

  3. Tap the Options (three dots) icon

  4. Tap Edit person

  5. In the Company information section, tap Assistants

  6. Any users assigned as assistants display a checkmark icon

  7. Tap any assistants you want to remove

  8. Tap Save
