How do I copy a budget in Spend Center?

Learn how to copy an existing budget to create a new budget.

As an admin, you can copy a budget from a web browser or the Spend Center mobile app. Copied budgets will retain the settings from the original budget, including the roster and custom fields. You can give the budget a unique name and select the reset period and expiration.


Copy budget from a web browser

  1. In the Spend Center Navigation Menu, select Budgets

  2. Find the budget you want to copy

  3. Hover your cursor over the budget and select the Copy icon

    • You can also copy the budget from the budget page. Select the Options icon (three dots in the top right of the page) and select the Copy Budget link.

  4. Enter any required information to create the settings and details for the budget

    • Note: The budget name, budget owner, budget members, and custom fields are filled in automatically from the original budget.


Copy budget from the mobile app

  1. In the Spend Center Navigation Bar, tap the Budgets icon

    • If the Budgets icon is not in your Navigation Bar, tap the More icon, then tap the Budgets link.

  2. Select the budget you want to copy

    • Note: You can also long press the budget to view the option to copy the budget

  3. Tap the Options icon (three dots in the top right of the screen)

  4. Tap the Copy budget button

  5. Enter any required information to create the settings and details for the budget

    1. Note: The budget name, budget owner, budget members, and custom fields are filled in automatically.
